Lawn Tennis Club

Was formed in 1907 and amalgamated with Sunnyside Tennis Club in 1975 which has enabled us to move forward with court and club development over past years. True to form for most modern day clubs we no longer have grass courts. Instead we have six superb all weather courts that give us all year play in just about any weather condition. Three of our courts are floodlight and members are welcome to pre book sessions that can be used up until 9.30pm seven days a week.
 
The Derek Sledge Memorial Cup - Mixed Doubles Tournament

In memory of the late Derek Sledge, who played at the club for many years, a one day mixed doubles tournament will be held and Derek's sister, Barbara, will present the cup.  Derek's family have kindly donated this cup.  A plaque will also be mounted at the club.  Please take part in this day and join Derek's family in celebrating his long association with the club.  Pairs will be drawn on the day.  This is a fun day with a difference!  Pairs drawn together will form a team for the afternoon.  Tea & cakes will be provided.   See website soon for details and notice in clubhouse.  Alternatively, ask a committee member.  Sign up on list in clubhouse ASAP!

Club Tennis 
 
General club play where members `mix in` is available on Wednesday Evening and Sunday afternoon. Other playing rota's are also run to supplement these times for all standards of play. All other playing times are very liberal and you will find the club available to you at most times. New balls are provided free of charge on Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Middlesex and Winter League Tennis

 
The club enters 5 Men’s, 3 Ladies & 2 Junior Teams into the Middlesex league each year along with a further men’s team playing in the weekend Hertfordshire league plus another two veterans teams. We have also entered 1 team in the LTA National Club League and 3 Men's and 3 Ladies teams in the winter floodlight league.
Committee

Your committee meets once a month and the club AGM is held in December. If you wish to offer any help or assistance with general club duties this would be most welcome as clubs like ours are run purely on a voluntary basis. Please contact a committee member if you would like to offer any help or wish to air a view - we would be very pleased to hear from you. The committee is elected by The Membership at the AGM and the current serving officers are :
